Do you ever feel strong emotions when watching certain films?

The scenery, the story, the soundtrack... does it ever give you certain emotions, about life, or death or whatever. Films like Shaw shank redemption, castaway.. any film... and you wonder if other people feel these same emotions, but you can never know because you can't compare what you feel to what anybody else feels.
