LeShay's Where's It At (02/06/08): Locations?

This deserted Island was home to the only truly known castaway to survive for 16 months during the 1700s in such conditions. He was originally captured by pilots, and when having made his escape ended up on this Island. He was eventually rescued from this island by a ship known as the Diamond. What island is this?
